1. Who We Are
ImprintTrader is a SaaS platform operated as a sole proprietorship based in South Africa. We are subject to the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union.

2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Account information: email address, full name (optional)
- Trading strategy data: strategy names, conditions, indicator descriptions
- Chart images: screenshots you upload for scoring and journaling
- Trade records: scores, grades, outcomes, emotional states you log
- Research questions you submit for AI report generation
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, session duration
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
- Authentication data: login timestamps, session tokens
Payment information
We do not store your payment card details. All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which is subject to its own privacy policy. We receive only a customer identifier and subscription status from Lemon Squeezy.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Process your trades through our AI scoring engine
- Generate research reports based on your trade data
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
- Monitor and improve the performance and security of the Service
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your trading data to train AI models.
4. AI Processing
When you score a trade, your chart images and strategy data are sent to third-party AI providers (Anthropic for trade scoring, Google for research reports) for processing. These providers process data on our behalf and are subject to their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. Chart images are sent for inference only and are not retained by these providers for model training.
5. Data Storage
Your data is stored in Supabase, a cloud database service with servers located in the United States. Chart images are stored in Supabase Storage. By using the Service, you consent to your data being transferred to and stored in the United States.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer. Anonymised, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes.
7. Your Rights
Under POPIA and GDPR (where applicable), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate personal data
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Object to or restrict processing of your personal data
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@imprinttrader.com. You may also delete your account directly from the Settings page, which will trigger deletion of all your personal data.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies and session tokens to maintain your authentication state. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect your ability to log in to the Service.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase — database and file storage
- Anthropic — AI trade scoring
- Google (Gemini) — AI research reports
- Lemon Squeezy — payment processing
- Vercel — hosting and deployment
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
