Everything you need to know about using ImprintTrader to score your trades, track your discipline, and improve your rule adherence.
Welcome to ImprintTrader. The idea is simple — you define your trading strategy once as a Master Imprint, and then score every trade against it before you enter. This gives you an objective score out of 100 that tells you how closely your setup matches the pattern you said you were looking for.
Here's the quick version of how it all fits together.
A Master Imprint is your strategy written down in detail. You describe your higher timeframe conditions (the zoomed-out context chart — where the trend and key levels live, e.g. Daily or 1H), your lower timeframe entry trigger (the zoomed-in chart where you time the entry, e.g. 5-minute), indicators, stop and entry placement, and trade management rules. You upload reference charts so the AI knows what your setup visually looks like. Trade a single timeframe? That works too — an imprint can be one chart.
Think of it as a template of your perfect trade. Every trade you submit gets compared against this template.
When you spot a potential setup, upload your chart screenshots. The AI compares your charts to your Master Imprint and gives you a score out of 100 across 8 categories. You get a grade from A to F and specific coaching notes explaining what matched and what didn't.
Every trade scored builds your Discipline Score, updates your streaks, and goes into your journal. Over time you'll start seeing patterns — when you follow your rules, when you don't, and which emotional states lead to poor decisions.
Two more habits complete the loop: the Daily Routine lets you run your pre-market process every day (and builds a separate process streak, trade or no trade), and Session review lets fast-paced traders import their fills and score the whole session honestly after the close.
AI scoring uses credits. Scoring one trade costs 1 credit. Creating a Master Imprint costs 2 credits with the form — or 3 with any of the AI builders (describe it in your own words, the co-pilot, or a draft from your charts). Your plan gives you a monthly credit allowance, and you can top up at any time from Settings.
The free plan gives you 1 Master Imprint and 10 lifetime credits — enough to see how the scoring works. To create multiple imprints you'll need a paid plan. You can upgrade at any time from Settings.
Your Master Imprint is the foundation of everything in ImprintTrader. It's a detailed description of one trading strategy — the conditions you need to see, the indicators you use, how you enter, where your stop goes, and how you manage the trade.
You can have multiple Master Imprints for different strategies. For example, one for your reversal setup and another for your trend continuation entries.
The badge on each card is that strategy's edge verdict — whether the rules make money when you execute them faithfully. It's explained in Edge & Expectancy.
When you click New Master Imprint you'll be asked to choose how you want to create it.
Describe your strategy — the recommended, fastest way. Write, paste, or dictate your whole strategy in your own words — however you'd explain it to another trader. The AI structures it into your imprint and only asks about the essentials it can't find in what you wrote; its questions can be read aloud and you can answer by voice. You review a readable playbook at the end, never a long form. Costs 3 credits.
AI co-pilot — A typed, guided conversation that brainstorms your strategy with you and then fills the form in for you to review. Great if you're new or still shaping your idea: it talks in plain language (no jargon), walks you from the timeframes you want to trade through your chart conditions, the entry signal and stop, to risk, targets and management. It even pre-selects those timeframes on the form and finishes with a short checklist of what to look for on each chart — so you just name it, add your charts, and save. Costs 3 credits.
Draft from my charts — Drop your timeframe charts and the AI reads them — the indicators it can see, your key level, and any marked entry, stop and targets — into a draft imprint you review and finish. Costs 3 credits.
Fill in the form — A step-by-step wizard where you type out each part of your strategy yourself. Best if you already know exactly what you want to write. Costs 2 credits.
The builder is five steps. You capture your conditions per chart — each chart carries its own rules — then define your entry and management once. Here's each step.
Name your strategy, choose your instrument type (Stocks, Forex, Futures, Crypto, or CFDs), and set the direction — Bullish, Bearish, or Both if your setup works in either direction.
Upload your reference charts — screenshots of a real example of your setup — one per timeframe. For each chart you choose the timeframe (Daily, 4H, 1H etc.), its role — Higher timeframe (context), Lower timeframe (entry trigger), Middle timeframe (filter), or Single timeframe if your whole strategy lives on one chart — and optionally the symbol. You can paste with Ctrl+V after clicking the upload zone, or use the Camera button on mobile.
You also choose whether the reference chart shows a pre-entry setup (conditions only) or a completed trade with entry, stop and target marked — this tells the AI how to read it.
Everything about a chart lives under that chart. For each one you add:
• Indicators (optional) — each with its colour, style and panel position, so the AI knows exactly what to look for. A histogram (like MACD) can be two-toned: you set the colour above the zero line and, if different, the colour below it.
• Conditions on this chart — the market structure that must be true, what the indicators must show, and how price interacts with your level. Be specific: "price consolidating below the previous swing high" beats "bearish bias". Describe the pattern, never a specific price — your imprint is matched against future charts at any price.
• Toggles — tick whether your single key level is drawn on this chart, and whether your signal bar, entry and stop each form on it. You describe the key level once, on the chart it's marked on.
Define how you get into the trade. Your signal bar is what signals a potential entry — it isn't the entry itself. The entry happens with your order: a pending stop order that fills on the break, a market order on the close of the signal bar, a limit at a level, or a manual entry. Then set exactly where your entry and stop are placed.
How you manage the trade and what raises or lowers its quality. All optional — fill what applies to you:
• Targets — minimum risk-to-reward, scale-out targets (a % of the position at each R-multiple), a structural target (a level), and/or a measured-move / volatility target (an ATR multiple or the range height projected). If "R" is new to you: 1R is the amount you risk — the distance from your entry to your stop. A 2R target aims to make twice what you risk; a minimum risk-to-reward of 2 means the same thing.
• In-trade management — when you move to breakeven, how you trail your stop, any time stop ("flat by the New York close"), and whether you scale in. These document your plan; on a completed-trade score the AI can note whether you followed them.
• A-plus setup grading — extra confirmations that grade the quality of a valid setup. Mark each as Must-have or Bonus: more present, higher grade. Your chart conditions still decide whether the setup is valid at all.
• Session & time-of-day — when the setup is valid (London / New York sessions, regular hours, a specific window and timezone). This IS scored when the chart's time axis is legible.
• Fundamental / pre-trade checks and correlated markets — off-chart yes/no checks you tick before a trade (news, earnings), and any inter-market confirmation you need (the Dollar Index for a forex pair, ES & NQ for index futures). These are trader-attested context, not scored.
• Invalidation — a structural condition that voids the setup before you enter (checked against the current bar on a before-entry score).
The AI reads everything you've entered and writes a plain-language summary of your strategy back to you. Read it carefully. If it has misunderstood something, type a correction and click Update. Once it accurately reflects your strategy, save your Master Imprint.
If the AI repeatedly misses or misreads one of your conditions, you don't need a new imprint. Open the imprint and add a Calibration note — a refinement layered on top of your rules ("the reclaim bar must close above the level, not just wick above it"). It applies to all future scores on that imprint and never changes past ones. Calibration can add or tighten a requirement; it deliberately can't loosen the judging or inflate grades.
Open any imprint and click Delete. Your scored trades stay in your journal, but the imprint and its edge verdict are gone for good — and the slot it used is freed, which matters on plans with an imprint limit. Creation credits aren't refunded.
You don't need to type. In the Describe your strategy builder, tap the mic and dictate your whole strategy the way you'd explain it out loud — and when the AI asks about a missing essential, it can read the question aloud and you can answer by voice too. Same 3 credits, same reviewed playbook at the end.
The trade scoring system is the core of ImprintTrader. When you submit a trade, the AI compares your charts to your Master Imprint and gives you a score out of 100 across 8 categories, a grade from A to F, and specific coaching notes.
Before entry — You haven't entered yet. This is the most valuable stage. The AI scores how closely your setup matches the rules in your Master Imprint and gives you forward-looking coaching. If your score is below 60 you'll get a specific rule-gap note explaining what's missing.
Trade currently open — You're already in the trade. The AI scores your entry quality and can comment on management considerations it sees on your chart.
After trade closed — The trade has fully played out. The AI scores your pre-entry conditions only, completely ignoring the outcome. A losing trade that followed your rules perfectly scores just as well as a winning one.
You can optionally enter the symbol (e.g. EURUSD, AAPL, ES1!), a signal time, and a close time. These become useful data points in your journal over time — especially when researching whether certain instruments or session times perform better for your strategy.
Type your prices for an exact risk-to-reward. The entry, stop, and first-target fields are optional — leave them blank and the AI reads your prices from the chart's drawn markings and your written placement rules. Type them, and your risk-to-reward is computed as exact arithmetic instead of a chart read, and the prices saved to your journal are yours, not the model's.
Before scoring you can optionally record how you feel going in — Calm, Slightly anxious, FOMO, Revenge trading, or Overconfident. It never affects the score. It's logged with the trade so your journal filters, the Zen Trader badge, and your Emotional stability score can correlate emotion with execution — over time this is where your most valuable tells show up.
Any platform works — TradingView, MetaTrader, your broker's app — via screenshot, Ctrl+V paste, a TradingView snapshot link, or the Camera button on mobile. What makes a screenshot score well: a full-screen chart at your normal trading resolution, one timeframe per image, the price axis and time axis both visible (session rules are only checked when the time axis is legible), indicator panels fully in frame, and your entry, stop and target marked the same way they're marked on your imprint's reference charts. Zoomed-out postage-stamp charts and cropped indicator panels are the two most common causes of an unclear read.
Before uploading your charts, the checklist shows you every condition from your Master Imprint broken down by category — higher timeframe conditions, lower timeframe conditions, signal / entry bar, and management rules. Use this to self-check before scoring. It helps you catch obvious misses before spending a credit.
Before scoring, the AI runs a confirmation check. It goes through each indicator and marking from your Master Imprint and confirms whether it can see them on your submitted charts — VISIBLE, UNCLEAR, or NOT VISIBLE for each item.
If something is unclear you can clarify and re-run the check. You get up to 3 rounds. You can also skip confirmation and grade without it — the trade will be marked as Unconfirmed in your journal.
Your score is split between Rules Compliance (50 points) and AI Sameness Analysis (50 points).
Your imprint's filters and grading feed into these categories and the final grade too. If you set an A-plus grading factor, a valid setup rich in confluence (extra confirmations stacking in your favour beyond the required rules) earns the top of its band while a missing must-have factor caps the grade. A session / time-of-day rule is checked when the chart's time axis is legible. Your in-trade management and correlated-market checks are read as context (assessed only where they're visible) — none of them ever override whether the core pattern is present.
Each of your written rules is verified on the specific chart it belongs to — higher-timeframe conditions on the higher-timeframe chart, the trigger and entry on the entry chart — and judged MET, PARTIAL, or NOT MET with the evidence named. Your entry and stop are judged by your written placement rules ("2 cents above the signal bar high"), never by generic textbook standards. The result shows a per-chart verdict for each screenshot so you can see exactly which chart carried the gap.
Hard rules gate the total. If a required must-have condition is not met — or genuinely can't be verified from the screenshot — the total is capped at 55 (or 45 when a before-entry setup is no longer live at the current bar), even when the other dimensions look strong. When a cap fires, the score screen says so under the number and the rule gaps below explain exactly why, so the grade and the bars never silently disagree.
Will the same chart get the same score? Resubmitting the exact same screenshots shortly after returns the identical result (recent results are cached, and the repeat costs nothing). Beyond that, consistency is engineered rather than hoped for: every rule gets an explicit MET / PARTIAL / NOT MET verdict with the evidence named, and the hard-rule caps are enforced in code — not left to the model's mood. A re-captured screenshot of the same moment can still move a point or two at a rule boundary; the verdicts tell you exactly which rule moved and why.
A grade D or F before entry means your setup doesn't match your rules well enough to take. Read the coaching notes and the per-chart verdicts — they'll tell you specifically what's missing. From the score screen you then make your decision: Enter trade (logged as taken) or Wait for better setup (logged as a Passed setup). If you already knew the setup wasn't complete before scoring and want that honesty on the record, tick the Override checkbox on the submit form — before you score — and write your reason.
And if the AI keeps misreading one specific condition on this imprint, that's what the Calibration note is for — a one-line refinement that tunes all future scores without rebuilding the imprint.
Choosing "Wait for better setup" logs the score in your Journal as a Passed setup. Passed setups never count against your discipline or streaks — the opposite: passing on low-grade setups builds your patience score, and it's evidence of restraint your reports and coach can see. You can delete a passed setup from the Journal if you don't want to keep it.
Too fast-paced to score before entry? Score after the close instead — see Session review under Journal and Reports: import your fills, replay each entry moment, and batch-score the whole session.
Session Review is batch scoring for traders who move too fast to score before every entry — scalpers, high-frequency day traders, or anyone catching up on imported history. Instead of scoring one trade at a time, you queue up a whole session's trades, attach the charts, and let the AI review them back-to-back while you keep working.
Open your Journal and click Session review — the button shows how many of your trades are waiting (imported trades and any logged trade that hasn't been scored yet). Each waiting trade becomes a card in the review queue.
For each card: pick the imprint to score against (each trade can use a different imprint — the selector at the top sets the default, and every card has its own), attach one chart per timeframe the imprint requires, set the direction if the imprint trades both ways, and optionally record the emotion you remember feeling. Then press Review this trade — or queue several cards and run them all.
The trades are scored at the post-trade stage: the AI judges pre-entry rule compliance only and ignores the outcome, so a winner that broke your rules still gets the honest low grade. If your import carried fill prices, the risk-to-reward is computed from your exact entry, stop and target — arithmetic, not a chart read.
Each review runs the free chart-readability check first, then spends 1 credit for the score — the same as scoring from the Submit Trade page. If a chart can't be read, the card pauses for your attention and no credit is spent. Charts upload before the credit is spent, and each score only counts once it has genuinely saved to your journal.
When the queue finishes you get a session verdict — grades across the batch and what they say about the session's discipline. Every reviewed trade lands in your journal like any other scored trade and feeds your discipline score, streaks and behavioral profile.
Discipline isn't only about the trades you take — it's about running your process every single day, including the days you take nothing. The Daily Routine turns your pre-market (or post-market) process into a checklist you actually run, and tracks a process streak for showing up.
Create one or more routines from the Daily Routine page — for example a "London Open" routine at 08:00 and a "Post-market" one after the close. Each routine is an ordered list of steps of three kinds:
• Ritual — a simple checkbox: review the economic calendar, mark your levels, check yesterday's journal.
• Imprint check — pick one of your Master Imprints and record a verdict for right now: No setup, Watching, or Setup present. This is the daily habit of consciously deciding whether your setup exists — before the market pulls you in.
• Note — a free-text field for anything you want to record about the day's conditions.
Completing a routine counts toward your process streak — consecutive days you ran your process. Completion is a deliberate action: work through the steps and press Complete on the run screen (you don't have to tick every ritual — an honest partial run still completes). One completed routine per day is what extends the streak; a second run the same day doesn't double-count. It's deliberately separate from your trade streaks: a disciplined no-trade day (routine run, verdict "No setup", no forced entries) keeps your process streak alive even though no trade was scored. Run it 7 days in a row and you earn the Ritualist badge.
Every trade you score is automatically saved to your journal. You don't need to do anything extra — the journal builds itself as you use the tool.
If your pace doesn't allow scoring before entry (scalpers, fast intraday), review the session afterwards instead. Import your trades (the Import button above your journal), then open Session review — every unscored trade queues up as a card showing its entry time. Wind your platform's bar replay back to that exact moment, screenshot each timeframe as it looked then (no hindsight bars), attach them, and run the queue. Each trade gets a free chart-readability check first, then a normal score (1 credit) saved to your journal as a post-trade review — the outcome is ignored, only your rule compliance is judged.
At the end you get a session verdict: how many trades were genuinely your setup, your weakest rule area across the session, winners that were luck rather than edge, and losses that were actually good trades. That's the honest feedback loop — the trade you were sure about in the moment either matched your written rules or it didn't.
After a trade closes, find it in your journal and expand it. Mark the result with the Win / Loss pills — the one you pick fills with colour so it's obvious at a glance. The profit/loss field then follows the result: it's labelled Profit for a win and Loss for a loss, and the sign is set for you — so a win can never be saved as a negative. Add the R multiple (how many times your risk you made or lost), your scale-out levels, and the trigger/close times.
You can come back to a logged outcome any time — open it and click Edit (or "Add missing details") to fill in a close time you skipped or fix a number. Nothing is locked.
Took it, or just a setup? A trade you scored but never entered no longer looks like a missing result. Each row shows its status — In trade, Setup (undecided), or Not taken — and an undecided setup offers Took it / Didn't take so you can resolve it in one tap. "Didn't take" keeps it as a passed setup for analysis — it is never deleted.
Outcome logging is optional, but it unlocks the most useful part of research reports — correlating your imprint score with your actual results.
Filter your journal by imprint, grade, stage, outcome, and date range. Use filters when you want to answer questions like "what is my win rate on grade A and B trades versus grade D and F?" or "how do I perform when trading with FOMO versus Calm?"
Any trade can be deleted from its expanded journal row — permanently, with no undo, and the credit spent on its score isn't refunded. Your stored stats (discipline score, rule streak, behavioural scores) recompute automatically after a delete. There's also Clear all trades, which wipes the whole journal and resets your discipline score and streaks to zero — it asks you to type a confirmation first, and it leaves your Master Imprints untouched.
Your journal is your data. The Export CSV button above the journal downloads every trade — scores, grades, outcomes, prices, times, and decisions — for your own spreadsheets or records.
Already have a trade history elsewhere? Import it from the Journal. ImprintTrader reads a generic CSV as well as MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 HTML statements — capturing symbol, direction, entry, stop, and outcome. Cancelled or un-triggered setups can be imported too (opt-in) so you can attach a chart and still score them, while they stay out of your stats.
Research reports are AI-generated analyses of your trade data. You choose a set of trades using your journal filters, ask a specific research question, and the AI analyses the data — and your chart images if you include them — to give you a detailed written answer.
Good research questions are specific. "Do my grade A and B trades have a higher win rate than grade C and below?" gives you actionable data. The AI can reference specific trade numbers, spot patterns in your chart images, and make concrete recommendations.
When your report is scoped to a single imprint, the AI is also given that imprint's full definition — your actual rules. So it can tie your results to your own plan: which conditions, confluence factors, session timing, or management rules your winning trades honoured and your losing trades broke, instead of only looking at the scores.
Reports require a minimum of 10 trades. Text-only reports cost 3 credits. Including chart images costs 5 credits.
ImprintTrader tracks your discipline automatically. Every trade you score feeds the metrics shown on your dashboard — your Discipline Score, plus three streaks.
Your Discipline Score is a weighted average of your last 20 trades. Recent trades carry more weight than older ones. It gives you a single number that reflects how closely you've been following your strategy lately.
Above 75 means you're trading your plan consistently. Below 60 is a signal to slow down and review what's causing the drift — is it emotional state, specific market conditions, or a particular setup that's failing the checklist?
Your rule streak counts consecutive trades where you scored 70 or above. It resets if you score below 70. It's a simple measure of consistency — can you string together 5, 10, 20 quality setups in a row without slipping below your standard?
Your day streak counts consecutive calendar days where you logged at least one scored trade. It encourages daily engagement with your trading process.
Your process streak counts consecutive days you completed a Daily Routine — showing up and running your process even on days you take no trade. It's tracked separately from the trade streaks, because discipline on a no-trade day is discipline the trade metrics can't see. See the Daily Routine section for how routines work.
Scoring a setup and choosing "Wait for better setup" logs it as a Passed setup. Passes never break your rule streak, never drag your discipline score, and never count as trades — walking away from a weak setup is rewarded, not punished.
Badges are earned automatically when you hit specific milestones. They appear on your dashboard.
Beyond any single trade, ImprintTrader builds a picture of how you behave as a trader. Every scored trade feeds four proprietary behavioral scores and an AI-narrated Trader Memory — the deeper layer, included on Pro and Studio.
Each is 0–100, computed from your own trade history. They sharpen as you score more trades.
Patience — are you waiting, or forcing and jumping? It rewards restraint: taking few low-grade (C/D/F) trades and rarely overriding the system or entering before confirmation. Passing on a low-grade setup ("Wait for better setup") actively raises it — every weak setup you scored and walked away from counts as evidence you don't force. It's about how you trade, not just your grades.
Edge consistency — how repeatable your edge is: low variance in your imprint scores plus a steady, positive R expectancy.
Emotional stability — how often you trade from a calm state, and whether execution holds up when you don't (FOMO, revenge, overconfidence).
A+ alignment — are the trades you take actually your best setups? It's the average grade of your taken trades. High means you're trading mostly A's and B's, not diluting with C/D/F.
Trader Memory reads your entire history and narrates it back to you — your tells, your strengths, the through-line you can't see yourself. Every claim is tied to your data, and it gives you the highest-leverage things to work on next. Generate or refresh it on demand from your dashboard.
You're a patient, structure-first trader, and your edge is real — it lives in calm states. When you wait for your higher-timeframe level and let the trigger come to you, you execute at an A-grade.
Your signature market is NAS100, where you're sharpest. GBPUSD is where the discipline slips — most of your C-grade entries live there.
The leak that costs you most is the trade right after a loss: it scores about 14 points below your baseline. That's not strategy, it's emotion — and it's fixable.
On Pro, when you score a setup, ImprintTrader reflects back your own behavioural patterns — a low-grade setup against your rules, the way your scores drop right after a loss, your statistically weak day, or overtrading — so you can check yourself against your own history.
Your discipline score answers one question: did you follow your plan? The edge verdict answers the other one — the one that actually decides whether you make money: is the plan worth following?
It works by using your grades as a filter. It looks only at the trades you executed faithfully — your grade A and B trades — and measures their expectancy, the average R you make per trade. If your well-executed trades are still losing money over a meaningful sample, the problem isn't your discipline. It's the strategy itself.
Open any imprint to see its verdict — your expectancy, win rate, and average win and loss across your faithfully-executed trades.
The verdict is deliberately cautious — a thin run of trades can't condemn a strategy, so it won't call "no edge" until the evidence is strong.
When an imprint lacks edge, the verdict goes a step further and points at why. Across your well-executed trades it compares the eight score categories between your winners and your losers, and surfaces the rules your losing trades were weakest on — the prime suspects to tighten when you redefine.
Because a Master Imprint is locked once it has trades, "redefining" means duplicating it into a fresh copy and adjusting the rules — which the verdict offers as a one-click action. The new imprint starts its own clean sample, so you can prove the revised rules from scratch without mixing them with the old, broken ones.
Every imprint in your library carries its verdict as a badge, so you can spot at a glance which strategies are working and which need a look. On the free plan the badge appears as a lock that opens the verdict once you upgrade.
Studio is the team coaching tier designed for trading coaches, prop firms, and mentors who manage multiple traders. With Studio you get a team dashboard, imprint sharing, a team journal where you see all your traders' trades, and AI coaching reports. Studio also includes everything in Pro for your own trading — unlimited imprints, the behavioural layer, Trader Memory — so you don't need a separate personal plan. This section covers both the coach's tools and what the experience looks like for the traders on your team.
When you subscribe to Studio, your team is created automatically. Go to Studio in your dashboard and click the Members tab. Enter a trader's email address and send them an invitation. They'll receive a branded email with a link to accept — and you can also copy the invite link yourself (from the success message, or the "Copy invite link" button on any pending member) and send it however you like, in case the email lands in their Promotions or spam folder.
If they don't have an ImprintTrader account yet they can create one for free directly from the invitation. Once they accept, they appear as Active in your team. You start with 3 seats — additional seats are $30/month each, purchasable from the Studio dashboard.
Inviting a whole cohort? Use the reusable team invite link on the Members tab — post it once in your group chat or Discord and any trader who opens it takes a free seat. Regenerate the link at any time to invalidate the old one.
Worked example: you plus 8 coach-funded traders is $149 (3 seats included) + 5 extra seats × $30 = $299/month. Three things that make the math friendlier than it looks: your own account never uses a seat; a trader who already pays for their own ImprintTrader plan joins your team without using a seat at all; and a pending invite holds a seat only until it's accepted or revoked.
Revoke on the Members tab removes a trader and instantly frees their seat for someone new. Revoking doesn't stop a paid seat's $30 charge by itself — use Cancel seat afterwards (only empty seats can be cancelled, so revoke first). Members can also leave your team themselves.
When a trader leaves or is revoked, their trades stay in their own journal, but they drop out of your Team Journal, leaderboard and stats immediately. Their account isn't deleted. If you want a record of your coaching with them, generate their individual report before removing them.
The Leaderboard tab ranks your active traders on three at-a-glance gauges. It respects the overview filters, so you can rank the whole team or just one cohort.
Discipline — the weighted average of that trader's last 20 trade scores (0–100); the same number they see on their own dashboard.
A/B rate — the share of their scored trades that graded A or B. A clean read on how often they actually take their best setups.
Streak — their current run of consecutive trades scoring 70 or more.
Go to the Imprints tab in your Studio dashboard. You'll see all your Master Imprints. Click Share on any imprint to share it with your entire team or with specific traders individually.
Traders see a Team Imprints section in their navigation. They can view your imprint in read-only mode and score their own trades against your strategy. Their trades show up in your Team Journal.
The Team Journal shows every trade scored by every trader in your team. Filter by trader, imprint, grade, stage, and outcome. Expand any trade to see the full score breakdown, coaching notes, and the trader's actual chart screenshots in a lightbox.
This gives you genuine coaching visibility — you can see not just what score a trader got but exactly what their chart looked like when they entered.
Open any trade in the Team Journal to coach it directly. You have two separate tools:
Coach feedback — leave a written note on that specific trade and, if you want, attach your own chart screenshots (a marked-up version, a cleaner entry, a counter-example). Your trader sees it on the very same trade in their own journal, under a "Coach feedback" heading — so your point lands where the trade lives, not in a separate channel.
Private notes — on the Members tab you can keep running notes on each trader that only you can see. Use them for context that isn't about a single trade: recurring tendencies, what you're working on together, goals for the month.
The Behaviour tab gives you each trader's behavioral profile — the same four proprietary scores plus their Trader Memory patterns — computed from their own trades. Scores and pattern cards are free; you can generate an AI coach briefing (a third-person read of how that trader behaves) on demand for 1 credit. Search and collapse each trader to scan a large roster fast.
The overview surfaces students who may need a check-in — and you decide what "needs attention" means using three thresholds you set right on the panel. A trader can be flagged for one or several of them; change a threshold and the list updates live and saves to your team.
Discipline below — flags any active trader whose Discipline Score has dropped under your chosen level (default 70).
Inactive for — flags a trader who hasn't scored a trade in a set number of days (default 7), so no one quietly goes dark.
Recent average below — flags a trader whose last five trade scores average under your chosen level (default 70), even if their longer-term Discipline still looks healthy. This is your early warning of a fresh slump.
The overview flags two different kinds of problem separately. Needs attention catches discipline problems — a trader who isn't following their plan. Strategy edge catches the opposite: a trader who executes faithfully (A–B grades) but whose imprint still shows no edge over a meaningful sample. That's a strategy problem, not a discipline one — the rules may need redefining, and you can coach toward exactly that.
Generate AI coaching reports for individual traders or your whole team. Individual reports analyse a specific trader's patterns, strengths, weaknesses, emotional tendencies, and give concrete coaching recommendations. Team summary reports give you an overview of all traders with coaching priorities and recommended team exercises.
Each report costs 5 credits from your account. A minimum of 10 trades is required per trader for individual reports.
Set your organisation name, logo and report colours in Settings, and every coaching report you export as a PDF carries your branding — ready to hand to a student or a prop-firm manager as your own material.
Studio takes one person to set up but two to use. Here is the experience from your trader's seat — worth knowing so you can onboard them well and set expectations honestly.
Joining — they receive a branded invite email and click Accept. If they don't have an ImprintTrader account yet, they create one free in the same step. Their seat is paid by you, so being on your team costs them nothing.
Team Imprints — every imprint you share appears in a Team Imprints area in their navigation. They open it read-only and score their own trades against your strategy, exactly as they would one of their own imprints. Those trades flow into your Team Journal.
What you can see — your view of a trader is scoped to your shared strategies. You see the trades they score against the imprints you've shared with the team — the chart screenshots, grades, outcomes, and the discipline score, streak and behavioural profile computed from those trades. Their personal trading, against their own private imprints, stays invisible to you — so a trader can join your studio without handing over their whole book.
Session review works for them too — a trader on your team can import their fills and batch-score a whole session against your shared imprint after the close (see Session review under Journal and Reports). Those reviews land in your Team Journal like any other scored trade — so a scalper on your roster can hand you a fully graded session the same evening.
Your feedback reaches them — any coach feedback you leave on a trade appears on that trade in their own journal, so they get your input in context.
Graduating to their own plan — a team seat gives them the core scoring tools. When they want the full app for themselves — more imprints, their own monthly credits, and on Pro their own behavioural profile and Trader Memory — they upgrade to a personal Trader or Pro plan. They stay on your team and you keep coaching them; their old seat frees up for someone new.
When a trader you brought in upgrades to their own paid plan, you earn 30% recurring — on that first payment and on every renewal after, for as long as they stay subscribed. It applies whether they joined through your affiliate link or graduated from a seat on your team. Track your referrals, balances and payouts from the Commissions tab in your Studio dashboard; payouts clear after a short hold and pay out via bank transfer or USDC.
ImprintTrader uses a credit system for AI features. Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance. You can top up at any time if you run out before renewal.
Scoring a trade costs 1 credit. Creating a Master Imprint costs 2 credits with the form — or 3 credits with any of the AI builders (describe your strategy, the co-pilot, or a chart draft; the AI build fee covers creation, so the form fee is waived). Generating a research report costs 3 credits (text only) or 5 credits (with chart images). Generating a Studio coaching report costs 5 credits from the coach's account. Running the chart confirmation check does not cost credits. While building an imprint, your first two AI assists per build (summary re-generations or consistency checks) are free; further ones cost 1 credit each.
You only pay for results. If an AI action fails with an error on our side — a scoring run that doesn't complete, a builder call that dies mid-generation — the credit is automatically returned to your account.
Trader and Pro are also available annually at ten times the monthly price — two months free. An annual plan grants the full year of credits up front (720 on Trader, 1,080 on Pro), so you're never waiting on a monthly refresh. Switch between monthly and annual from Settings.
Share your referral link from Settings. When someone you refer subscribes to a paid plan, 50 bonus credits land in your account the moment they upgrade — and another 50 when they reach their third month. Referral rewards don't stack with affiliate commissions on the same signup.
If you run out of credits before your renewal date, go to Settings and buy a credit top-up — 20, 50, or 80 credits ($10, $20, or $30). Top-ups are available on all plans.
Go to Settings and click Manage subscription. This opens your billing portal where you can upgrade, downgrade, cancel, or update your payment method. Receipts are emailed to you by our payment provider (Creem) after every charge, and your order history lives in the same portal.
First-time subscriptions carry a 7-day satisfaction guarantee (if you've used fewer than 10 credits) — see the Refund Policy for the details and how to request one.
Want to erase everything instead? Delete account lives at the bottom of Settings (the Danger zone). It's permanent — export your journal CSV first if you want your data.
Yes — until you score your first trade against it. Spot a typo or want to sharpen a condition? Open the imprint and edit freely. Once trades exist, the conditions lock so those scores stay accurate — but the name and the Calibration note remain editable forever, and Calibration is usually all you need to tune how it scores. To change the rules themselves after trades exist, duplicate the imprint into a fresh copy.
Yes — open the imprint and click Delete. Your scored trades stay in your journal, but the imprint and its edge verdict are gone for good, and the slot it used is freed for a new imprint on plans with a limit. Creation credits aren't refunded.
It's strongly recommended but not required. Your reference charts are what the AI compares future trades against, so an imprint with at least one chart scores far more accurately. You can save with just the written rules and add charts later — you'll see a reminder at the save step if none are attached.
No — indicators are optional. Plenty of strategies are pure price action. Leave the indicators step empty if yours doesn't use any; it won't affect your imprint or your scores.
Yes — choose the Describe your strategy builder and use the mic to dictate your whole strategy in your own words. The AI structures it, asks only about the essentials it couldn't find (it can read those questions aloud, and you can answer by voice), and shows you a readable playbook to review before saving. Costs 3 credits, the same as typing it.
The score measures how closely your setup matched your Master Imprint at the point of entry — not whether the trade was profitable. A trade can follow your rules perfectly and still lose money. A trade can break every rule and still win. The score is about process, not outcome.
Over 50+ trades, if your grade A and B setups consistently outperform your grade D and F trades, you have strong evidence that your strategy works when followed correctly. That's the insight you're building toward.
First read the per-chart verdicts and rule-gap notes — the score explains itself rule by rule, and a hard-rule cap is always called out under the number. If the AI keeps misreading one specific condition, add a Calibration note to the imprint — it tunes all future scores without a rebuild. And if you believe a technical issue produced a bad result, contact support below with the trade date and imprint name; when an error on our side consumed a credit without a proper result, we restore the credit.
Scores are final — there's no re-run on an existing row. If you attached the wrong chart or want a second read, submit the setup again as a new trade (1 credit) and delete the old row from your journal if you don't want both. To catch readability problems before a credit is spent, use the free chart confirmation — you get up to 3 rounds.
The chart confirmation step handles this. If the AI marks something as UNCLEAR or NOT VISIBLE it will tell you specifically what it can't see. You can clarify in text or upload a clearer screenshot and run the check again. You have up to 3 rounds.
Common causes: chart too zoomed out, indicator panel too small, screenshot resolution too low, or the indicator panel is cut off at the edge. A clean full-screen chart at your normal trading resolution works best.
You scored that trade without running the free chart confirmation first ("Grade without confirming"). The score itself is judged the same way — the tag just records that the readability check was skipped, and skipping it habitually counts as impulsive in your Patience score. Running the free check first is always the better habit.
The Override checkbox on the submit form lets you score a trade when you already know it doesn't fully meet your rules. Tick it before scoring and write a reason — "partial setup but risk is very well defined, taking reduced size" for example.
Be aware it still counts like any executed trade: its (usually low) score feeds your Discipline Score and can end your rule streak, and frequent overrides lower your Patience score. The row is tagged Override in your journal so you can compare how your override trades perform against full setups. That's the point — honesty, with numbers that tell the truth too.
The score is kept in your journal as a Passed setup — marked Not taken. It never counts as a trade: it can't break your streaks or lower your discipline score, and passing on low-grade setups actively builds your patience score. If you don't want to keep it, delete it from the journal like any other row.
Yes — that's what Session review is for. Import your fills after the close (CSV or a MetaTrader statement), open Session review from the Journal, and every unscored trade queues up as a card showing its entry time. Wind your platform's bar replay back to that moment, screenshot what you actually saw, and batch-score the session. You get a session verdict at the end: which trades were genuinely your setup, your weakest rule area, winners that were luck, and losses that were good trades.
Your Discipline Score is a weighted average of your last 20 trades, with more recent trades carrying more weight. It reflects your current level of rule adherence — not your all-time average, but how you've been trading recently. This means you can improve it quickly by stringing together high-quality setups.
Yes. Open the trade in your journal and click Edit (or "Add missing details") to fix a number or fill in a close time you skipped — nothing is locked. Setups you scored but never entered can be marked "Took it" or "Didn't take" right from the row.
No. ImprintTrader scores pattern similarity between your submitted chart and your defined Master Imprint. It does not tell you to buy or sell anything. All trading decisions are entirely your own. The scoring output is educational feedback only and does not constitute financial advice.
Yes — this is what the Studio plan is for. As a Studio subscriber you can share any of your Master Imprints with your team members. They view it in read-only mode and score their trades against your strategy. You see all their trades in the Team Journal. If you're a coach or prop firm owner, Studio is designed exactly for this.
Only the trades you score against the imprints your coach has shared with the team — the chart screenshots, your grade and score breakdown, the outcome you logged, and the discipline score, streak and behavioural profile built from those trades. Trades you score against your own personal imprints stay private — your coach can't see them, and they don't affect the numbers your coach sees. Your coach also can't trade for you or change your imprints.
No. Your seat is paid for by your coach, so you can score trades against their shared imprints and your own — and use the app — at no cost to you. If you later want the full app for yourself (more imprints, your own monthly credits, and on Pro your own behavioural profile and Trader Memory), you can upgrade to a personal Trader or Pro plan. You stay on the team either way.
Go to Settings and buy a credit top-up — 20, 50, or 80 credits (from $10). Alternatively, if you're on the Free plan and using the tool regularly, upgrading to Trader ($39/mo) gives you 60 credits every month plus access to multiple imprints.
Yes — Trader and Pro are available annually at ten times the monthly price (two months free), with the full year of credits granted up front. Switch from Settings at any time.
Your imprints and trades are private to your account — the only exception is a Studio coach, who sees the trades you score against imprints they shared with you. Your chart images and strategy text are sent to AI providers for inference only and are never used to train models. See the Privacy Policy for the full details and provider list.
Password: Settings has a Change password form (or use Forgot password on the login page if you're locked out). Email addresses can't be changed self-serve — contact support via the form below and we'll do it for you.
Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. It's permanent and removes your imprints, trades and charts — export your journal CSV first if you want your records. If you only want to stop paying, cancel your subscription instead; your data is preserved on the free tier.
Yes. The app is fully mobile-responsive. On mobile the chart upload screen shows separate Gallery and Camera buttons so you can photograph your trading platform directly or upload from your gallery. All features work on mobile, though creating a detailed Master Imprint is generally easier on a desktop.
There's no separate app to install — ImprintTrader runs in your phone's browser. For one-tap access, use your browser's Add to Home Screen option; it opens like an app.
For quick questions, there's a Need help? assistant inside the app — the chat button in the bottom-right of your dashboard answers questions about any feature instantly. For anything it can't resolve, fill in the form below and we'll get back to you within 1 business day.
Asking about the affiliate program? ImprintTrader pays 30% recurring commission on every subscriber you refer — coaches earn it automatically when team members upgrade (see Studio → Earning commissions), and anyone can join the public program. Banners, copy and your link live on the affiliate resources page.
